Fullmetal Alchemist Live Action Movie Gets Release Date

Save the date, Fullmetal Alchemist fans! The live action film, based on the popular anime and manga series, has finally been given a release date!

According to Warner Bros. Japan’s announcement on the film’s official Twitter account, the Fullmetal Alchemist live-action film is set to release on 1 December 2017, just in time for the holidays!

Not only that, but the film’s Twitter account also tweeted the first image of  Alphonse Elric, the younger of the two Elric brothers, who features in the series predominantly as an armoured boy with no physical body. The character is said to be brought to life on screen completely through CGI and boy, does he look good!

About the series:

Fullmetal Alchemist follows the story of the Elric brothers, Edward and Alphonse, who commit the ultimate taboo of attempting to use alchemy to resurrect their deceased mother. As a consequence, Edward loses an arm and a leg, while Alphonse’s entire body is lost.
