Acer Continues to Power eSports as the Global Sponsor of Intel Extreme Masters

2018 marks the second consecutive year of Acer’s partnership with IEM

Acer has announced that it is the official sponsor of the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM), the longest running pro gaming tour in the world, for the second consecutive year. Held on 4, 5 and 6 May at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park. This year’s IEM competition will witness 16 of the world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams. As they come together to fight matches to win a grand prize of US$250,000.

At IEM Sydney this year, Acer will set up a Predator Lair. Where gaming enthusiasts will have the opportunity to get a first-hand experience of the full power behind the latest Predator range. Renowned for its innovative design and performance-focused capabilities:

  • the Predator Orion 9000;
  • Predator Helios 300;
  • Predator X34 monitor and;
  • other hardware will be on display at the Predator Lair.

Additionally, there will be mini gaming challenges held on all three days of IEM; with exciting Predator prizes to be won. An exclusive signing session with members of the CS:GO Grayhound Gaming team is also another highlight of the event.

Started by ESL in 2006, IEM features Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft II and League of Legends tournaments across multiple continents. Now in its 13th season, IEM is widely considered to be the world’s most prestigious gaming event.
