Activision Announces Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Activision has officially confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on 12 October 2018.

Though the publishing company did not reveal too many details about the next game in today’s announcement, Treyarch has been confirmed to once again helm this year’s Black Ops game.

Referring to the upcoming title as a “game-changing experience”, Activision promised more details to be revealed on 17 May, during the “community reveal to a worldwide audience”.

While Activision typically releases new games in the Call of Duty franchise in November, this year’s iteration comes surprisingly earlier. It seems that the new game may also follow in Destiny 2’s footsteps with a link to Blizzard’s Battle.net; a log in option was spotted on the Call of Duty website today by Charlie Intel.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be the next in the Black Ops series following 2015’s popular Black Ops 3.
