Talsorian Games, in true cyberpunk fashion, has released the jumpstart kit digital edition for the table-top RPG, Cyberpunk Red, ahead of its physical release later this month.
The jumpstart kit comes with:
- Two booklets – one containing the world lore and adventures, the second is the rulebook
- Six pre-generated characters
- Maps and standees to help bring the world of Cyberpunk to life
The jumpstart kit is designed to get all the choombas out there ready and into the dark future before Cyberpunk Red releases later this year.
DriveThruRPG, the digital storefront selling the digitized version of the game, is currently having a sale on all its digital editions of Cyberpunk including the classic 2020 and its expansions.
The physical edition of the jumpstart kit made its debut at Gencon last weekend.
Cyberpunk Red bridges the gap between the classic RPG, Cyberpunk 2020, and CDProjekt Red’s upcoming RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, the breathtaking game that launches in April next year.
Also, this week CDProjekt Red announced a collaboration with CMON Games to make a physical card game called Cyberpunk 2077-Afterlife: The Card Game. Not a lot of details have been revealed about the gameplay but CDProjekt Red released a brief statement as to what the game is about.
“In the game, you become Fixers — databrokers and masterminds of Night City. Your job is to recruit cyberpunks, equip them with gear, and send them out on missions. Each successful mission raises your Street Cred, with mission survivors becoming Veterans, imparting their knowledge and experience to newer recruits. In this chrome-infused world, Street Cred is the only currency that matters.”
No definitive release date for the card game has been announced, however, the game is due out sometime in 2020.
