The X-Men spin-off film, Gambit, suffers yet another set back with director, Gore Verbinski leaving the film. It’s starting to feel as if the 20th Century Fox title will never see the light of day.
Gambit has been on and off for a couple of years with production delays, change in directors/staff and much more that it almost felt as if the film was never going to happen. However, all seems to have been going well with production when Verbinski came on board to direct the film in October.
Now reports are coming in stating that Verbinski has decided against directing the film, leaving the film and it’s main star, Channing Tatum, who signed on to play the titular character in 2015, in limbo.
At this stage, who knows whether X-Men and Gambit fans will ever see the character on screen in his own film.
