Celebrating Mega Man‘s 30th anniversary, Capcom today announced that Mega Man 11 will be released across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One in “late 2018”. The game will be very much similar to the previous 10 Mega Man games, being a side-scroller with updated 3D visuals.
Capcom and Mega Man veterans, producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya and director Koji Oda, said that the game will be a rebirth for the character, with the game’s art director and character designer, Yuji Ishihara, having already created a new look for Mega Man, which leaked earlier this year during the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 release.
The game comes 7 years after Mega Man 10, the last entry to the series. More details on Mega Man 11 are to come.
