Mogul Partners with Critical Hit and the Australian Esports League

PRESS RELEASE

Mogul has announced they will partner with Critical Hit Entertainment, owners of the Australian Esports League (AEL), to become the exclusive platform provider for all tournaments run under both banners.

The AEL run large national competitive tournaments across multiple platforms, including grassroots activity in high schools and universities. These leagues include the AEL University Cup, the AEL High School Cup, the AEL Open, the AEL Corporate Cup and Girl Gamer Oceania. Players in these events can expect online competitive tournaments on a Branded Hub powered by Mogul and a new membership offer.

Darren Kwan, Managing Director of Australian Esports League, says he was impressed with the Mogul platform during Girl Gamer Oceania 2019 and is excited to roll out Mogul’s state-of-the-art technology across all Critical Hit and AEL tournaments and leagues.

“Mogul’s technology added significant value to our online and LAN tournaments during a trial at a previous event. Mogul offers operational and administrative efficiencies as well as a player experience like no other. We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Mogul as we roll out the Mogul platform across all Critical Hit and AEL tournaments and leagues.”

Mogul’s Branded Hub and membership offering will allow Critical Hit and AEL to develop a brand-new membership offering for players, introducing a new revenue stream for the company.

Branded Hubs is a way for organisers, influencers and teams of all sizes to offer an easily customisable and bespoke branded esports experience to their community. Mogul’s platform allows organisers to customise their own tournaments, event ladders, participant prizing details, and tournament rules, accommodating for personalised colours, logos, sponsors and game art assets to deliver a branded experience for users to engage with.

Mark Warburton, Mogul’s Chief Marketing Officer, is thrilled to partner with Critical Hit and use Mogul’s technology to open the door for esports organisations to create new revenue-generating opportunities for the category.

“Mogul has worked closely with partners to develop features that will not only offer a superior user experience but a mutually-beneficial financial model that will kickstart new revenue streams and ultimately allow organisers like AEL to do bigger and better things for their player community. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Darren and his team to further grow our participation in the Australian esports scene and more deeply support grassroots activity for the next generation of esports players.”

AEL and Mogul expect to launch the AEL Branded Hub this month.
