New Zealand’s First PUBG Tournament

Ping Zero have announced New Zealand’s first PUBG Tournament, where up to 40 squads will battle for their share of a NZ$1,000 prize pool.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (“PUBG“) v1.0 was released in December 2017 and has emerged from its early access stage. With more than 30 million users across multiple platforms, and has record breaking 3 million concurrent players on Steam. Additionally PUBG has a rapidly growing competitive gaming community.

Ping Zero has listened to the NZ gaming community and has worked closely with PUBG Corporation and PUBGOCE to bring you NZ’s first PUBG tournament.

Each squad will be competing in first person perspective on Erangel and will compete in eight qualifying rounds across two days starting on February 18th at 3pm and continuing on 25th February at 3PM, both will be casted and streamed live on twitch.tv/PUBGOCE.

This competition is open to players from Australia and New Zealand, with a handful of Oceania’s Top 25 Competitive teams already registered. The finals will be held on 10th March with only the Top 12 teams, 48 players, competing in the first live PUBG LAN tournament to take place on New Zealand soil! Spectators will be welcome to come down to our top secret venue in Auckland.

General admission will be limited to the final event, but will of course be free of charge.

Limited spots are available with registrations closing on 16 February, at 2PM NZDT. Register here: goo.gl/6hrEh4
