The Internet went wild when news broke out earlier today that Robert Pattinson had been cast as Batman.
Now, a new report from Deadline has revealed that the deal is not finalised and that Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) is also a finalist.
The Hollywood Reporter further adds that Pattinson has not yet signed a deal, though it is uncertain whether a formal offer has been made.
Other contenders for the role, behind Pattinson and Hoult, are Armie Hammer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
It’s important to note that official confirmation has not been made regarding Pattinson’s casting, though he is indeed a front-runner. Reeves is also said to be still polishing the script for The Batman, which indicates that casting choices could potentially change.
