Magic: The Gathering (“MTG”) is getting on board the bubble tea hype train.
Wizards of the Coast has revealed that it’s teaming up with popular bubble tea chain, Gong cha Australia, to celebrate the release of the latest MTG set, Dominaria United.
The collaboration has inspired four new custom drinks, based on the Planeswalkers who feature in this new set. This includes Teferi, Liliana Vess, Ajani Goldmane and Jaya Ballard.
So what custom boba goodness do we get? Here are the flavours to choose from.
Jaya Juice
A grape flavoured green tea with strawberry pearls. Considering what we’ll learn in Dominaria United, this particular drink is going to be interesting.
Liliana’s Necrofancy Taro
A taro flavoured milk tea with pearls & herbal jelly. This one’s truly a necromancer’s choice of poison (in a good way of course!)
Ajani’s Inspiring Latte
A matcha latte with white pearls & milk foam. Could this reveal Ajani’s fate?
Teferi’s Cookie Tea
A pearl milk tea with cookies. How could anyone say no?
MTG fans can get a taste of these custom creations from their local Gong cha for a limited time starting today until 12 September.
What’s even better is that select Gong cha outlets across Australia will also be running learn to play Magic events on 10 September. If you love bubble tea and want to dive into this new MTG set, then this hands on session is for you. Details of sessions are as below.
