Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Go Beyond the Fairy Tale – Maleficent: Mistress of Evil Gets A New Trailer

A brand new trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil has released.

Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, a sequel to the 2014 global box office hit, Maleficent and her goddaughter Aurora begin to question the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies and dark new forces at play.

The newly released trailer introduces us to these dark forces that bare a similar resemblance to Maleficent, sporting the same demonic horns and wings. Undoubtedly, these demon creatures, led by Chiwetel Ejiofor (who also voices Scar in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s The Lion King) have a less than pleasant plan for the soon to be King and Queen.

Directed by Joachim Rønning and written by Linda Woolverton, Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue, the sequel was originally announced for a May 2020 release, however, has now been brought forward to October this year.

The sequel sees returning Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning return as Maleficent and Princess Aurora respectively, with new cast members including Harris Dickinson as Prince Phillip, Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith, Robert Lindsay as King John, with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein and Warwick Davis also joining the cast.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will be the 11th live-action adaption since 2010 and is slated to release on 18 October 2019.
