My Hero Academia Makes A Smashing Return in 2019

2019 is shaping up to be an epic year for My Hero Academia fans with two fantastic announcements made this morning: confirmation of Season 4 and Deku’s addition to Bandai Namco’s Jump Force.

My Hero Academia Season 4 Returns October 2019

Earlier this year fans rejoiced at the announcement that the popular anime series will return for a fourth season. Today, the Official My Hero Academia website confirmed that Season 4 of the series will premiere in October 2019.

The announcement was accompanied by a teaser image for Season 4 (see below). Looks like Izuku ‘Deku’ Midoriya will be pushed to go even beyond ‘Plus Ultra’ in the upcoming season.

Deku Joins The Jump Force Roster of Fighters

In an exciting piece of fighting game news, Bandai Namco has today revealed that Izuku ‘Deku’ Midoriya may be joining the Jump Force roster.

This news has not officially been confirmed, however, social media posts from the publisher implies this to be the case, showing Deku in a number of different images.

The character poses in the image also alludes to the fact that Deku may be more than just a bystander character, like Ryuk and Light Yagami from Death Note are. Instead, we might just see Deku fighting alongside, or even against, other manga protagonist characters such as Goku, Naruto and Luffy.

It’s uncertain whether other notable characters from the My Hero Academia universe will be added to the already growing number of in-game characters. Either way, Bandai Namco’s Jump Force looks set to be one of the biggest fighting game titles of 2019.
