Razer, the company most well-known for its gaming peripherals and gear has today, unveiled its first smartphone, the Razer Phone, which is built for and aimed at gamers.
The phone includes a 120Hz, Quad HD display and UltraMotion technology with a wide colour gamut providing for a stunning screen and zero lag. Razer has also added Dolby ATMOS support to the phone to allow for a true-to-life cinematic sound experience. Furthermore, the DAC (digital-to-analog converter), which is located on the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter, comes THX certified which means that users can expect to have an incredible audio experience when using the Razer Phone with headphones.
In terms of power, the phone is said to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 8GB RAM and boasts superior battery life with the 4000mAh battery, one of the largest capacities available.
Of course, most smartphone users today care most about the quality of the in built camera. The Razer Phone consists of 12MP dual cameras and claims to offer smooth transition between the f1.7 wide angle lens and 2x telephoto. Coming from a team who pride themselves on being gamers and knowing exactly what gamers want, here’s hoping that the phone’s camera is up to par with the likes of the iPhone 7, Huawei P10 and Samsung Galaxy S8.
Razer has had a great track record of providing amazing products for gamers. Here’s hoping that the Razer Phone does well. It’s time for a new smartphone to dominate.
