Tonight’s Bethesda E3 press conference certainly delighted the crowd of industry members, media, and fans that were lucky enough to have been invited to visit Bethesda Land. Sadly, we missed out on the opportunity but we’re fortunate enough to have been invited for some hands-on time later in the week.
While the fun filled, carnival themed Bethesda Land was full of entertaining activities, including a Ferris wheel, the conference itself felt a little lacklustre. Instead of announcing new IPs as some may have expected, Bethesda’s lineup included another re-release of Skyrim, new card game heroes, sequel titles and VR experiences for two popular titles.
Here’s the list of announcements, made without much pause for exciting introduction, nor any kind of speech from special guests and developers:
- Doom VFR
- Fallout 4 VR
- Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider (an expansion of Dishonored 2)
- Evil Within 2
- Quake Champions
- The Elder Scrolls Legends expansion with new heroes
- Wolfenstein 2
The above titles are all set to release this year. Let’s just say that the team at bBethesda seem to be focused on gory violence in their 2017 gaming lineup.
