Final Fantasy VII Remake Release Date Announced

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE ARRIVES ON PLAYSTATION 4 ON 3rd MARCH

Square Enix today announced that the spectacular re-imagining of one of the most visionary games ever, FINAL FANTASY® VII REMAKE, will be available from 3 March 2020 on PlayStation 4.

Along with unforgettable characters and a powerful story, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE features a hybrid battle system that merges real-time action with strategic, command-based combat. Check out the E3 announcement trailer below:

Rebuilding and expanding upon the legendary RPG for today, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE tells the story of a world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.

Alongside the release date, new key art featuring the game’s infamous villain, Sephiroth, set against a burning Midgar skyline was also unveiled during the FINAL FANTASY VII – A Symphonic Reunion concert at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

In addition, details of the game’s voice cast were unveiled at E3, including:

  • Cloud, voiced by Cody Christian (All American, Teen Wolf)
  • Barret, voiced by John Eric Bentley (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Independence Day: Resurgence)
  • Aerith, voiced by Briana White (Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Occupants)
  • Tifa, voiced by Britt Baron (GLOW)
  • Jessie, voiced by Erica Lindbeck (Spider-Man, Persona 5, ThunderCats Roar)
  • Biggs, voiced by Gideon Emery (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Teen Wolf)
  • Wedge, voiced by Matt Jones (Breaking Bad)
  • Sephiroth, voiced by Tyler Hoechlin

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE will be available for the PlayStation 4 system on 3rd March 2020.
