Fortinite Battle Royale

Fortnite Battle Royale Is Coming To Mobile

Epic Games today announced that it’s popular free to play multiplayer game, Fortnite Battle Royale, will be available on iOS and Android devices.

The game will be available across both mobile phones and tablets, with Epic Games assuring fans that “it’ll be same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac,” with the same gameplay, content, maps, and weekly updates as per the console and PC versions.

Starting Monday, March 12th, players will be able to sign up for the Invite Event, a.k.a Beta on iOS, with invites being sent out shortly after. Players who receive an invitation will also receive an invite code for a friend. Android support is said to be due within the next few months.

In partnership with Sony, Fortnite Battle Royale will support Cross Play and Cross Progression between PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS and eventually Android. This means players across devices can squad up with friends and play with and against players from other platforms. Unfortunately at this stage it looks like Xbox One will not have Cross Play support.

Regardless, this is an exciting step for Epic Games, in ensuring that gamers of all kinds, across various platforms are able to enjoy the popular and celebrated game.
