On Monday, I was fortunate enough to be invited by Xbox New Zealand to have a hands-on go on Xbox’s next big console exclusive game, Quantum Break.
Quantum Break is an upcoming action-adventure, third person shooter video game developed by Remedy Entertainment (Max Payne and Alan Wake) and published by Microsoft Studios. The game blurs the line between television and gameplay, integrating the two into one seamless, uniquely immersive sci-fi drama experience. This action-packed, fast paced game lets you bend and shape time in order to survive. Players will need to master unique powers such as bending and warping time to outmanoeuvre and outwit the enemy.
Xbox New Zealand, who has done a great job of putting together fantastic events for the fans in the past, once again did an awesome job of putting together this game and chat event whereby invitees were able to have a relaxed game of Quantum Break as well as speak with Thomas Puha, the Head of Media at Remedy Entertainment, who was flown in all the way from Finland to explain more about the game to us at the bottom of the world.
I was especially fortunate to not only have had the chance to interview Thomas on a one on one basis but was also invited to the Xbox Spring Showcase event on later that night, thanks to Microsoft New Zealand’s GameMaster and ExpertZone Twitch streamer (you know who you are).
Check out my interview with Thomas Puha on The Vanguard’s newly established YouTube channel where we chat about Quantum Break and what it takes to get into the video game industry. I should mention that this is the very first time that I have ever interviewed anyone so apologies that the interview may not seem as polished. I had a lot of fun though.
And now for what you might have been waiting for, some footage of my Quantum Break gameplay. I’m thoroughly looking forward to playing and reviewing this game.
Thinking of getting Quantum Break? The game is out on Xbox One and Windows 10 on April 5th, 2016 and is available as an Xbox One Bundle. Details can be found here.
