Robert Pattinson is your new Batman.
Variety has just reported that the Twilight and Harry Potter actor has been cast as a young Batman in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film, The Batman.
Though speculation was rife that Pattinson was the lead contender for the role, the news officially confirms that the 33 year old actor will replace Ben Affleck, who played the role of the Dark Knight in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
Pattinson will be the sixth actor to take on the mantle and the youngest as well.
Though no official announcement has been made by Warner Bros Pictures, production on the film is said to be scheduled to start this summer.
