Star Trek Picard

Star Trek: Picard New Trailer Released; Star Trek Veterans To Star

The first full trailer for Star Trek: Picard (“Picard”) has been released.

The trailer was followed by the announcement that Star Trek alumni, Marina Sirtis and Jonathon Frakes, are reprising their roles as Deanna Troi and Will Riker in the upcoming Picard series.

Sirits took to twitter to make the announcement, along with her Next Generation co-star Jonathan Frakes, confirming he would be shooting a scene this week with Patrick Stewart.

The two Star Trek veterans are also being joined by their The Next Generation (“TNG”) co-star, Brent Spiner reprising his role as the android Data, and Jeri Ryan, who played the liberated Borg Seven of Nine in Star Trek Voyager.

The addition of Seven of Nine or as she’s more affectionately called, Seven, is the second time Picard has interacted with a Voyager crew member.

The new trailer for the series shows off an emotional action-packed adventure as a young woman seeks Picard’s help as she is being hunted by a group of unknown assassins. The trailer also shows a brief look at a Borg cube and hints that the young woman may be involved with the Borg.

Along with the franchise veterans, Santiago Cabera, Isa Briones, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill and Harry Treadaway are joining the series for what could one epic space adventure.

Picard is expected to launch on CBS Access in the U.S, and Amazon Video internationally late 2019 or early 2020.
