The hugely successful and popular cooperative first person shooter video game, PAYDAY 2, developed by Overkill Studios and published by 505 Games, is about to be playable anywhere, anytime and with anyone when it releases on Nintendo Switch in February next year.
This will be the first time ever that the game will be playable on a Nintendo console, available both digitally and as a physical cartridge.
A sequel to the 2011 game, PAYDAY: The Heist, the second installment of the franchise allows players to play as members of a new gang as they go on a spree of heists across Washington D.C.
With more than 5.4 million community members on Steam, PAYDAY 2 received positive reviews and has had more than 160 paid and free updates since its release in 2013.
Since the franchise first launched in 2011 with PAYDAY: The Heist, both games have sold more than 16 million units across PC, SteamOS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with more sales expected upon PAYDAY 2’s release on Nintendo Switch. There is also a PAYDAY 2 VR game, which is now also available in beta for HTC Vive and other headsets via Steam.
