The 2012 isometric RPG, Torchlight II, is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and Switch on September 3rd.
The game is being ported to current-gen consoles thanks to Panic Button and publisher Perfect World.
The newest version of the game will come with all the upgrades one would expect from a remaster, including upgraded controls, gameplay systems and a UI catered to each consoles requirements.
The developers behind the remaster are also responsible for the Switch ports of Warframe, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Doom and the Switch version of the last game from Runic Games, Hob.
The original developers behind the game. Runic Games, was disbanded by Perfect World in 2017 after
releasing Hob on PS4 and Windows that same year.
With the rise in isometric old-school style RPG’s, Torchlight II, fits perfectly on the shelf next to the Divinity: Original Sin games, Pillars of Eternity and the upcoming console ports of Baldur’s Gate 1+2 and NeverWinter Nights.
