Calling all D&D fans!
On Friday, Wizards of the Coast announced D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage, a three day virtual event streamed live across YouTube and Twitch, celebrating the world’s original and best roleplaying game from Friday 19 June, 3am AEST to Sunday 21 June, 10am AEST. Can’t make the live event? No worries! VOD content can be viewed directly after each event on both platforms.
Wizards of the Coast Senior Communications Manager, Greg Tito, revealed the online event will be D&D’s most star-studded yet in this morning’s D&D news podcast Dragon Talk. The roster includes David Harbour aka Jim Hopper of Stranger Things fame, actress and writer Felicia Day (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural), actors Karen Gillan (Avengers, Jumanji) and Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), WWE superstar Alexa Bliss and many more.
Fans will enjoy watching the stars play through a series of live games bringing D&D’s latest storyline to life, interspersed with announcements and panels hosted on the virtual table over the three days.
This year, D&D Live 2020 has partnered with Red Nose Day in North America to raise money for children affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Fans that are keen to take part remotely in the event can do so by donating a small amount to Red Nose Day through the D&D Live Event Portal, enabling access to advance registration for future D&D sessions (when available). Funds made from D&D Live 2020 event apparel and the Return to the Glory Special Adventure will go directly to the Red Nose Day Fund in North America.
