BenQ ZOWIE has announced that the EXTREMESLAND ANZ Qualifiers will officially be joining the Melbourne Esports Open for 2018.
“We had already announced a great community event for Sydney but due to some divine intervention, have decided to take up this last minute opportunity at the MEO. This will see the event expand from a two (2) to four (4) team finals series spanning over two (2) days instead of one (1). It’s a shame we won’t get to work closely with a great venue in Bankstown Sports Club along with partners Dicker Data, JW Computers and Mwave, but I’m sure opportunities will arise in the near future.” – Danny Kim, BenQ ZOWIE Australia.
The date for the BenQ ZOWIE EXTREMESLAND ANZ Qualifier Finals will now be held a week earlier than announced (MEO dates: 1st and 2nd of September 2018). The online qualifiers will keep the same schedule and still be hosted on the Instafrag Oceania Platform powered by FaceIT. Open Qualifiers taking place on the 18th and 19th of August and Closed Qualifiers on the 25th and 26th of August. Registration will be open until the first Open Qualifier Match.

“We’ve worked closely with BenQ ZOWIE in the past for EXTREMESLAND 2017, The ESL National Championships and PGI Oceanic Qualifiers, so we’re excited to be working with the team at BenQ ZOWIE to bring top level CS:GO to Melbourne” – Ben Green, Partnership Manager at ESL Australia. “I genuinely can’t wait to see the qualifier played live on Margaret Court Arena at the Melbourne Esports Open in front of a live Melbourne audience.”
