Disney has reportedly been said to be working on a The Hunchback of Notre Dame live action film.
According to Variety, playwright David Henry Hwang is set to write the script, with Mandeville Films and Josh Gad producing the film.
Disney’s certainly capitalising on their popular properties with their highly successful strategy of rebooting its classic animated titles into live-action films, including Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, Alice in Wonderland, and the upcoming Aladdin, The Lion King, Dumbo and Mulan.
With the other live actions being both a hit and miss, it’ll be interesting to see how the classic The Hunchback of Notre Dame tale fares.
