Hoorah! Our good friends, Pixel Party, Australia’s first partnered community channel on Mixer, are hosting the first Mixer ANZ community event in Australia, alongside celebrations of their 1 year anniversary, this weekend.
This special Pixel Party Picnic, which has been made possible thanks to the incredible support of Xbox Australia, Mixer and AK Racing, will take place on 4 August in Bradfield Park, Milson’s Point in Sydney. Alongside fun activities, there will also be giveaways.
Much like Attack On Geek, Pixel Party is a pop culture and gaming community whose mission is to create an inclusive and welcoming space for all. I can certainly vouch for the team as being lovely, down to Earth, gamers whose focus on community is highly commendable. In fact, we’re incredibly proud to be associated with Pixel Party as the New Zealand chapter of their wider stream team.
In just one year, Pixel Party has held four picnics, four party movie screenings and two convention meet ups.
“We’ve achieved so much as a team and we couldn’t have done it without the support from the amazing gaming community here in Australia.” said Lewis Vaughn, one of the co-founders of Pixel Party.
“I love being apart of the Pixel Party Community because of the opportunities its given me to interact with new people and make new friends! Attending events, like the Pixel Party Picnic, with the Pixel Party crew is some of the most fun I’ve had in a long while!” said Dylan Faith, one of Pixel Party’s community members.
Good times are bound to be had, so if you’re in Sydney this weekend, head on over, enjoy the festivities, and say ‘hi’ from the Attack On Geek community here in New Zealand.
