With SDCC 2019 taking place from 18th – 20th July, the pop culture world was filled with announcements galore. Here’s a recap of everything revealed on Day 1 of the convention.
IT: Chapter Two Trailer Released
The comic con trailer for IT: Chapter Two gave viewers an insight into the next installment of the horror film and showcased the full cast in action.
Edward Furlong Returns; New Featurette Revealed for Terminator: Dark Fate
Edward Furlong, who played a young John Connor in T2: Judgement Day, was announced to be reprising his role in the upcoming Terminator film, Terminator: Dark Fate. Producer, James Cameron, confirmed that the film with be R-rated.
Top Gun: Maverick Trailer Released
Almost twenty years since Top Gun first graced our screens, Maverick returns for an all new adventure. Tom Cruise was on deck at SDCC to premiere the trailer for the Top Gun sequel, Top Gun: Maverick.
His Dark Materials Trailer Revealed
HBO has revealed a new trailer for the first season of the new upcoming epic, His Dark Materials, based on the bestselling trilogy of the same name written by Philip Pullman.
Jay & Silent Bob Are Back With A Reboot
In a surprise reveal, Kevin Smith dropped a trailer for the Jay & Silent Bob Reboot film, which had fans clamouring for more.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D To End With Season 7
Marvel TV’s oldest and longest-running series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was confirmed to end with season 7 at Marvel’s panel at SDCC. The bittersweet season finale is currently in production.
Batman Beyond Remastered Blu-Ray Release
One of the best Batman animated shows, Batman Beyond, has been revealed to be getting a remastered blu-ray release in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
Marvel Comics #1000 Revealed
Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski officially revealed the giant sized Marvel Comics #1000. The monumental issue will feature 97 of the best creators in the comic book industry in celebration of Marvel’s 80th anniversary.
