The 91st Academy Awards has come and gone, bringing with it several surprises, milestones and of course, plenty of news.
Though there were winners and losers just like every other year, the 2019 Oscars marked a momentous milestone for film.
For the first time ever, a two superhero films took home an Academy Award, marking the first time Marvel has won at the awards ceremony.
Black Panther, directed by Ryan Coogler, won Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Music (Original Score). Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse took home the award for Best Animated Feature Film.
