Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Open Weekend

Press Release

Following last December’s successful Multiplayer Beta, PlayStation and Naughty Dog have announced the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Open Weekend, available now for pre-download to all PlayStation 4 players directly from the PlayStation Store.

The Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Open Weekend begins this Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 06:00 AM (New Zealand Time) and ends Sunday, March 7, 2016, at 08:59 PM (New Zealand Time).

Entry to the Open Weekend is not limited to those with a PS Plus subscription, which means that anyone with a connected PlayStation 4 console and a current PSN account is able to join in. It’s important to note though that the Open Weekend is simply a beta test and is in no way a representation of the final multiplayer experience.

As a bonus, Naughty Dog will be live streaming the game with special guests streams. Information and a full schedule will be posted on http://www.twitch.tv/naughtydog.

Below is a bit more information about the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta

The Uncharted 4 Multiplayer mode offers an action packed five-on-five death-match, which allows teams to work together to take on the opposition as one of their favourite characters, including Nathan Drake, Elena, Sully and Cutter.

Players can expect to perform Nathan Drake’s signature moves such as swinging over drops and across crevices using rope grappling hooks; have the chance to call on new sidekicks to help destroy the other team, including the Brute, the Savior, and the Marksman, each with their own game-altering elements; and use supernatural power-ups to help take on the enemy, including:

  • The supernatural “Djinn Mystical” power; a powerful addition to any character’s arsenal, bringing explosive, fiery attacks to game play
  • The “Cintamani Stone Mystical”, which revives teammates and your own character quickly, taking them from a downed state back to combat-ready
