Sony and Naughty Dog have officially announced the release date for The Last of Us Part II.
On today’s State of Play live-stream, PlayStation revealed that the sequel to the critically acclaimed game, The Last of Us, will release on 21 February 2020.
The live-stream gave fans the first proper look at the game, beyond what was shown off at E3 2018. The release date trailer showed our beloved Ellie all grown up, the fantastic looking graphics and rather brutal action. Plus it also finally answered the question on everyone’s minds…Joel, is ALIVE!
Five Different Editions
Sony and Naughty Dog also revealed that there would be five editions of the game available. This includes the Standard Edition, Special Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, Collector’s Edition and Ellie Edition.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition includes a full version of the game. Pre-ordering the title will give players a PSN Avatar that features Ellie’s tattoo, and in game items.
Special Edition
The Special Edition comes with a SteelBook case, 48-page mini art book from Dark Horse, and a voucher for digital content, including a PS4 dynamic theme, a set of six PSN avatars.
Collector’s Edition
The captivating Collector’s Edition comes with a stunning and well crafted Ellie statue, a replica of Ellie’s bracelet, a SteelBook case, lithograph art print, 48-page mini art book from Dark Horse, a set of six enamel pins, and a set of five stickers.
In addition, the Collector’s Edition will also come with a voucher for digital content, including a PS4 dynamic theme, a set of six PSN avatars, a digital soundtrack, and a digital version of the mini art book.
Ellie Edition
The Ellie Edition gives you all of the contents of the Collector’s Edition, plus a full-sized, fully functional recreation of Ellie’s backpack, an embroidered patch, and a 7” vinyl record featuring music from the original soundtrack.
The Special Edition features a custom SteelBook case and all the digital content in the other editions.
