ABC and Marvel’s upcoming TV series, The Inhumans, has found its leading lady, Medusa, in Canadian actress Serinda Swan, who has previously portrayed the DC Comics heroine, Zatanna, in the Warner Bros. TV series, Smallville.
Swan will play Medusa, the Queen of the Inhumans, who is also the wife and most trusted advisor of Black Bolt, who, yesterday was announced to be portrayed by Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels). Both Swan and Mount will join Iwan Rheon, who’s been cast as Black Bolt’s evil brother, Maximus the Mad.
“Serinda empowers Medusa’s regal glory and still maintains a relatability that synced perfectly with the character,” said Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television. “She is nothing short of wonderful.”
Medusa is a fierce and resilient warrior who possesses the power of Trichokinesis, the ability to control the movement of her hair as if it were countless, minute, hands and fingers.
